Court notice to Priyadarshan's wife Lissy in case filed by father

Lissy's father N D Varkey complained that she refused to pay maintenance ordered by a lower court.

The Kerala High court today ordered issue of notice to Lissy, former Malayalam actress and wife of well-known Bollywood film director Priyadarshan in a maintenance case filed by her father.

Justice T R Ramachandran Nair ordered issue of notice on a petition filed by Lissy's father N D Varkey complaining that she refused to pay maintenance ordered by a lower court.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Muvattupuzha, had on January 25 last year, exercising powers under sect 7 of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior citizens Act 2007, ordered Lissy to pay her father Rs 4500 per month for his daily expenses and Rs 1000 for medicines from January one, 2010 until further orders.

The petitioner, who is residing at Pindimana village in Kothamanagalam in Ernakulam district, said no amount had been paid till date and he was unable to maintain himself as he had no source of income.

According to him, Lissy had substantial assets worth several crores of rupees and her husband was the one of the most highly paid film directors in India. She is justified in paying maintenance to her father who was even unable to purchase medicines for himself.

Sirasa Super Star started many years ago and it became very popular with all the Sri Lankans. Now sirasa started their fifth season and still the popularity remains same. Later other TV channels also started many reality shows but Sirasa is the first channel who brought our young village boys and girls to city and gave them a chance to perform their talents. In the second page the video shows the verbal fight among the judges of Sirasa Super Star, Amal and Chandrika. Amal Perera is a son of famous late singer Mervin Perera. Many say that Amal should control himself and should know to respect seniors. Anyhow Amal was not appeared in Sirasa Super Star later seasons.
